ABOUT

SOSO World Ministries operates as a spiritually led organization, where every aspect is guided by the Spirit of the Lord.

Our mandate is to bring our community together to provide assistance to food insecure residents of Toronto through food relief, education, access to economic empowerment opportunities, and social inclusion for healthy and resilient communities. Foundational to our programs and services is supporting the wellbeing of our residents informed by values of dignity, respect and equity.  We offer support to low-income residents, the homeless, the under housed, and others in need by supplementing their weekly necessities through food bank donations. We serve the broader community members in Toronto as well as residents living in Toronto Community Housing & Toronto Seniors Housing with multiple distributions each week. Our services are provided to over 2000 residents weekly through 3 food bank locations and 11 satellite locations. Our youth and seniors wellbeing programming includes workshops and events for access to skills development and employment, food nutrition, mental and social health, as well as referrals to other community-level supports.

Our donations encompass a wide range of items, including fresh bread, food bank essentials, non-perishable goods, pizzas, vegetables, pastries, blankets, socks, underwear, clothing, winter and work boots, and much more. In addition to our food distribution efforts, we collaborate with community leaders and organizations to host and support events that cater to the needs of children, youth, and adults within the community. Through these initiatives, SOSO World Ministries aims to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve..

Currently we are feeding over 2,000 clients on a weekly basis.
